Maya in the Bullrushes, Sort Of

This picture is from early January, when we were down in Philly and Grandma Carol was in the process of moving out of her house.  The cradle is actually a doll's cradle.  Maya was trying it out to make sure that it'll work for her dolls someday.

Sadly, baby clothing doesn't come in black floral.

Maya Takes Manhattan

Maya finally had a chance to meet her cousins Ayden and Ethan, and Uncle Matt, Aunt Rene and Aunt Sara when we all got together at Matt and Rene's apartment in New York.

Ethan looks at his littlest cousin in his Mom's arms...green with envy!

Maya's been on a bottle strike recently, so she's appalled at Ethan's calm acquiesence.

Maya got tired, so she napped on the floor.

On to the Garden State

Next, we visited Dumont, NJ for a visit with Opa and Kathleen.

Early morning tummy time on Daddy's lap.

Opa and Kathleen had a few people over to meet Maya including Terrie and Alan Kaplan, and Kathleen's mom and daughter, Kate.  Seconds after this picture was taken, Maya decided it was time for bed and did not return for the remainder of the party.  Her motto: "It's my party and I'll sleep if I want to..."

Valentine's Day (Appropriately) in the City of Brotherly Love

On Valentine's Day, we visited Grandpa Tom and Grandma Darla for a lovely brunch.  Maya spent most of the time hanging out on the floor, giggling.

Philadelphia Time

Maya recently journeyed to the Mid-Atlantic states to visit some of her grandparents.  Her first stop was outside Philly in Haverford, PA where she visited Grandma Carol and Pop-Pop Charlie's beautiful home.

No matter where it is, Maya loves her playgym.

Get Happy!

Maya has been getting much more interactive over the past few weeks.  She can hold her head up consistently these days and she smiles a lot.  Here are some recent pics of the new and improved Maya.

Maya's favorite places to laugh and smile are her play gym and her changing table.  Go figure...

Tummy time.

Bundled up and out for a stroll.

Zzzzzz....

Islers in the House

It's been a hectic few weeks, but with a snow day tomorrow and Allison and Maya safely in Philly, there's some time to post.  Here are some pictures from a visit with Nana (Nada) and Bushkie (Frank), Kate, and Robert and Sue.
