The "Bait and Switch Baby" in the Big Easy

Maya, American Explorer, ventured to the Crescent City this weekend.
In her 4+ months, she's been to Chicago, New York, New Orleans, Philadelphia and Boston.
New Orleans was busy with the energy of French Quarter Fest.  (No, that's not Maya in the above picture). The streets were bustling with people, food and lots of music.  Here are some pictures of Maya experiencing zydeco for the first time.

We were in NOLA for Andrew's wedding party (part II), so there were lots of Williams folk around.
Here's Maya with Sarah Connolly in Jackson Square.
Here's Maya looking stylish in her party dress - thanks Gabriella!- and cable-knit cardigan.  Maya was the life of the party for 45 minutes, and then passed out and slept in her stroller until midnight, when it was time to head home.
The "Williams" photo - from left: Emily, Jared, Fuchs, Sarah C., Andrew, Sarah H., Ben, Dave, Paul, Allison and Alex.  Maya was sleeping at the time...

The next morning, Maya and Daddy had some time to hang out before heading to the airport.
Emily referred to Maya this weekend as the "bait and switch" baby because she thought that anyone who met her would want their own baby - only to be disappointed by the results.  I'm not sure she's that perfect, but Maya was amazingly flexible through hours of air travel, huge crowds, bright sunshine, loud music, new places and lots of new people.  We're thrilled to have her in our lives - she's definitely perfect to us!

Easter Weekend

Maya with her favorite toy, Jacques the Peacock.

Looking angelic.

On Good Friday, we surprised Aunt Kate at Belmont Day School.

Then, we went to a park in Cambridge and sat in the sun.  When the wind picked up, Maya got chilly, so we put a hat on her for the first time in months.

On Easter morning, we drove out to Worcester to visit with the Truzanskys.

And then, we drove back to Newton to have Easter dinner with Great Aunt Susie and Great Uncle Gar.  The weather was so nice, we spent some time outside.

Allison's family bestows long nicknames on each other.  You'll have to ask Allison about them.  Maya got hers in the hospital, but we finally got around to taking the accompanying photo.

Passover Visit From Grandma Carol

During the Passover week, Panda's Playcare was closed, so Grandma Carol came up from Philly to hang out with Maya while Mom and Dad went to work.  Here are some of the great shots she took:

Walking all over Daddy...already.
